I started my passion for woodworking, when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I helped my grandpa make some toolboxes and some nail/screw bins. My Grandma had bought a scroll-saw a couple years later and I started making things with it. I also, took wood shop all 3 years of high school. I bought my 1st table-saw my sophomore year after making money doing a paper route.
I started at The Gill Window Co. in 1994 and worked there for a total of about 15-16 yrs. Left Gill's for a few years in 2004 to pursue a finish carpentry job and to start my own business as a finish carpenter. I went back to The Gill Window Co. until 2012. From there I went on to do several maintenance and handyman jobs.
In 2019 I started TWB "The Work Bench" as woodworking and then in January of 2020 I decided to carry it over as my business for both home maintenance and woodworking, When I went out on my own again. 2018 (December) i bought a CNC machine to start engraving my cutting boards and coasters. In 2022 i bought a laser engraver to add to my collection of tools.
I met my wife Kristal in 2008. In 2009 we had our little girl, Andilyn. Andilyn was born with Down Syndrome and is the sweetest, smartest, stubborn girl we know, and she has taught us so much in such a short time. Everything with her has been on what we call " All in Andilyn Time.”
Kristal and I got married in 2013. She is my best friend, partner in crime, and I wouldn’t be where we are today without her. She has pushed me to be who I am today and has been by my side and always trusted in my new journeys. Well, most of them.
